With over 20 years in the real estate industry, Barry began his career as a mortgage banker in 1993. After being licensed in 2002, Barry expanded into the world of residential sales. This also included forays into investment, commercial, and golf course sales.
The son of a developer/builder, he grew up traveling the country while his family relocated to master planned communities his father built in Michigan, California and Florida. His upbringing shaped a broad perspective of the real estate spectrum. He has developed a keen eye for recognizing value, quality and sustainability in the home buying process.
Barry has a parallel career in professional golf. After achieving All-American honors at Arizona State University in 1984, Barry embarked on a journey in professional golf that has led him to nearly 50 countries around the world. He is currently a member of the European Senior Tour, where he enjoys competing with the world's best senior golfers during the summer months.
As an agent, Barry is a passionate advocate for his clients. His philosophy is to treat each transaction as if it were his own. He believes communication, loyalty, promptness, and attention to detail are among the most important services a sales associate can provide.
Barry lives in Scottsdale with his wife Marie and their two dogs. He enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Alan joins our sales team at Desert Mountain with more than 30 years of experience as a director of golf in many of the premier golf communities in America. He has been instrumental in the design, development, and growth of golf clubs, including Desert Mountain, Estancia, Desert Highlands, Las Campanas in New Mexico, and the Stock Farm Club in Montana. He is a licensed Realtor in Arizona and is excited to show you what Scottsdale and all of Arizona have to offer.
As the face of golf, he has had the experience of not only growing membership but helping his clients become part of a community. His ability to understand the needs of his clients beyond the golf course has become a part of his persona and has helped build his reputation as “The Go to Guy for Anything.”
Alan is excited to join the team at Desert Mountain because he understands our mission is to find you the perfect home and help make your lifestyle dreams a reality. Alan has been involved in many charities, including the Boys & Girls Club of America, the United Way, and Kitchen Angles. He is also a private pilot and owns a Beechcraft Bonanza A36TC. He has not only volunteered his time but his airplane in search and rescue missions and “Flight for Life” here in Arizona.
